Daily regular inspection: Most of the power plants are managed by the government so it is necessary to perform a daily check on all the parts of gas turbine. Bi- annual maintenance: The maintenance work on these turbines is usually done twice in a year. Major inspection: Major inspection is the most expensive as well as most time taking process. These types of inspections are done when the turbine completes 50000 hours of working. In major inspection, the entire turbine is dismantled and all the parts of turbine are inspected visually and repairing work is also done at the same time. Once everything seems good to go, the turbine is reassembled again for further use.
